Your blog is very nice, and very inspiring, both in the recipes but also the stories with. I have already tried the banana coconut pancakes and they were delicious. Another possiblity for chocolate mousse which I like a lot because it is very cooling and not necesarilly sweet is to blend avocados, molten chocolate or cocoa powder, something sweet (honey, sugar, maple syrup - more or less depending on if you use chocolate with sugar in it already or not) and something liquid (water works fine, but all sort of milk like products also work - almond milk, soy milk, maybe even white wine?...), and of course some spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, chili...). I never quite manage to remember quantities in food making unfortunatly but because the recipe is so quick and simple it is easy to adjust the quantities by tasting. All the best, M

Do you have a preferred cacao powder you like? I can't wait to try this recipe. I've also heard of an avocado version. I can't have cream or eggs so this is fantastic!

I just wanted to thank you for this delicious recipe. Working on cutting back our sugars (especially during the cold season), and still desiring sweets and high protein snacks, we're in love with this. I just posted it on my blog, rosiegirldreams.com. Much thanks again, and I can't wait to try more of your recipes.

What you have here is chocolate pudding, not chocolate mousse. I'm not particularly a picky eater, but this is not mousse. If someone served this to me as a pudding, I'd be thrilled. As a mousse, I'd be sorely disappointed.

Hey! Thanks for all your sweet comments! We LOVE it as well ;) Sometimes I make it as a smoothie instead. Just add the juice from one orange and a lot of rice milk and mix it, add ice cubes and drink!!

love this! just made it... i think next time i will add only 2 or 3 tbs of almond butter. i think hilary has an idea there with the soy millk... for a little more smoothness and lightness. delicious! love these simple recipes!

I tried your mousse - wonderful! My blender is rather lacking in power so I had to add a tiny bit of soy milk to get it going but it was still thick enough to be satisfyingly mousse-like!
