Me and grapefruit doesn’t come along that good… but I’m working on it. At the moment I’m house guard for my grandparents (who’s away in Spain, lucky them!) and I just can’t keep ignoring those lovely grapefruits laying at the back in the fridge… so, a toffee recipe with grapefruit have to be a good way to work my way into to loving grapefruit… right? The apricots are soaking in this very moment… fingers crossed! :)

I had leftover grapefruit juice from this morning, and all the other ingredients were in my pantry, so I had to give it a try. :D I could have eaten the ‘dough’ just like that… Can’t wait ’til they come out of the oven. Thank you both for all your work and your willingness to share. My husband is from Finland, and so I love all of the Scandinavian treats you post. It’s nice to now I can send him on a healthier trip home! How we long for a beautiful summer there! I’ll just have to live vicariously through you. Thank you again! Tack and Kiitos!

Hej Emma, det kan jag svara på direkt. Vi använder vanligtvis osvavlade mörka aprikoser, de smakar så mycket mer. Men när jag började göra detta recept så trodde jag att det skulle bli råa aprikos-bars som skulle få en vackert orange färg. Sedan ugnsbakade jag dem och då blev de lite bruna trots allt. Men det var enbart för färgens skull som jag valde orange aprikoser den här gången.
